About Us

The mission of Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne, Inc is to support the independence, health and well-being of individuals living in Cheyenne and Laramie County with an expressed need for nutritional support through the delivery of nutritious meals, friendly visits and safety checks. 

Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne began in 1970; delivering meals prepared by a local restaurant. Later in the year, the program moved to St. Paul's Lutheran church, hiring staff and working to increase the number of clients served each day. In 1992, the program moved to its current location, and in 2020 a kitchen remodel was completed allowing for the future growth of the program.  Since its inception, Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne has been funded by local support, as well as donations from various groups, churches and businesses throughout the community. The program has grown from 20 meals per day in 1970 to nearly 500 meals per day currently.
